Frequently Asked Questions

  • Row West is a coach-led indoor rowing studio in West Seattle. You will row together to the beat of the music while building strength, endurance, and technique through a mix of rowing and floor work. Lighting and studio ambiance are used intentionally to match the workout and keep you engaged. All fitness levels are welcome.  

  • Rowing is a low-impact, full-body workout that builds strength and cardio at the same time.  It is joint-friendly, beginner-friendly, and effort-based, making it the perfect workout for all fitness levels.

  • New rowers are always welcome at Row West! Coaches provide guidance and options throughout class. If it is your first time rowing, please arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you set up on your machine, walk you through the technique, and answer any questions before class starts.

  • Bring water or a bottle ( we have a water bottle filling station) and athletic shoes, and wear comfortable workout clothes. A small towel is optional.

  • Classes can be booked through the website here


  • Class bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance and up until class start time based on availability.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to class start time to avoid fees or loss of a session.

    • No show fee: $15

    • Late cancel fee: $15

    • Membership freeze fee: $25

  • The lot attached to the studio can be used while attending class under the following conditions:

    • Weekdays (Monday to Friday): parking allowed before 7:30 AM and after 6:00 PM

    • Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): parking allowed while attending class

    • Public holidays: parking allowed while attending class

    If the lot is not available, street parking is available nearby. There are also paid parking lots next to the studio.
